About Bonnie

Fitzgerald is also the founder of Maverick Mosaics Art School and Studio, an educational facility dedicated to nurturing expression through the art of mosaics. She has worked on several community mosaic and sculpture projects as Artist in Residence.

Fitzgerald’s works have been juried into editions of The Artful Home and The Guild Sourcebooks of Architectural and Residential Art. Her work and instruction have appeared on several episodes of Home and Garden Television’s (HGTV) “Curb Appeal” and on WTTG Fox News. In addition she and her company have been profiled in The Washington Post, Southern Living Magazine, Viva Tyson’s, Élan Magazine and several mosaic specific publications including The Groutline, Profitable Glass Quarterly and Mosaic Art Now magazines.

As a graduate of New College in Sarasota, Florida, her focus of study in college was monumental sculpture. In 2006 she earned Master in Mosaico certification at Orsoni Smalti Veneziani in Venice, Italy and has taken continuing education courses and workshops at UCLA, USC, The Corcoran School of Art, Smithsonian Institution and private instruction with world-renowned artists.
